To celebrate the start of summer, we hosted a relaxed brunch with Kelly for a morning of good food and great conversation. Between coffee and catching up, we chatted about summer plans, personal style, favourite places and what she's saying yes to more of this season.
What is your favourite thing about the Seersucker Collection?
I actually have two favourite things.
First, it's made from breathable cotton, which makes it absolutely perfect for summer. When the weather gets warmer, comfort becomes everything and the lightweight feel of seersucker is ideal for staying cool.
Second, I recently learned something fascinating about the fabric itself. The word "seersucker" comes from a Persian term meaning "milk and sugar." I love that description because it perfectly captures the texture of the fabric, the smoothness of milk paired with the puckered texture of sugar. Knowing that makes wearing seersucker feel even more special.
What are you saying yes to more of this summer?
Rest.
It's something I haven't always prioritised, but life is busy. I have a baby, a five-year-old and plenty happening every day. This summer, I'm making a conscious effort to embrace rest and recovery rather than constantly being on the go.
What are you wearing today?
Today I'm wearing the white Nudea Seersucker Trousers with the shirt in the Mocha Stripe colourway.
I'm also wearing one of the bodysuits, which is funny because I don't think I've worn a bodysuit since I was about fourteen years old. But I've discovered how practical they are, and I'm genuinely enjoying it. It's one of those pieces that works for so many different outfits.
If you could spend the summer anywhere, where would it be?
Without hesitation, Kenya.
I might be a little biased because it's where I'm from, but for me, it's simply the best place in the world. Spending summer there would be an easy choice.
Where in London are you most excited to spend summer days?
I'm looking forward to being outside.
After spending so much of the year wrapped up indoors, summer in London feels like an invitation to enjoy the city again. I'm excited for parks, terraces, beer gardens and simply being out and about in the sunshine.
What do you love most about Nudea?
