A Morning By The River In Seersucker

Inside Our Summer Brunch with Kelly Eastwood

There's something about a slow morning in good company that feels like a small act of resistance. No rush, no noise just people, conversation and the kind of light that makes everything feel a little softer. That's exactly the spirit we wanted to carry into the launch of our Seersucker Collection. And so, on a June summer morning, we gathered at the Bingham Riverhouse with Kelly Eastwood also known as @thelondonchatter and a group of guests who we knew would understand exactly what this collection is about.

The Setting

The Bingham Riverhouse felt like the only place this morning could have happened. Riverside, relaxed, quietly beautiful. Our guests arrived dressed in pieces from the Seersucker Collection and seeing the collection worn and lived-in, rather than on a hanger, was everything. Soft stripes catching the light, fabric that moves the way it should. The collection was laid out for guests to browse and feel for themselves, which is really the only way to truly understand what makes seersucker so special.

The Food

Head chef Vanessa Marx crafted a seasonal menu that was quietly and intentionally inspired by the colours and mood of the collection itself. Vanessa's philosophy of slow food and conscious sourcing felt completely at home in the morning we were creating.

Guests settled in with a vanilla and ginger cashew banana smoothie that set the tone perfectly. From there, almond mocha latte overnight oats with chia, buckwheat pancakes with coconut yoghurt and a cardamom pear compote. On the savoury side, mushroom pâté on vollkorn toast with roasted cauliflower and pine nuts, and a baba ganoush with sunflower seeds that quietly stole the table. Food that felt considered without trying too hard.

The Details

We've always believed that the details tell the story, and every element of the morning was chosen with care rather than convenience. Flowers were by Lavender Green, a B Corp florist whose peonies need no introduction. Soft, full and completely at home in the room.

Aja Barber - author, activist and one of fashion's most important voices joined us with and signed copies of her book Consumed, a book which asks the questions we should all be sitting with. Guests went home with beautiful pieces from Kitani, a brand whose craftsmanship we deeply admire, alongside an aromatherapy mist and roll-on from Chapter Organics, a gentle reminder to slow down, even after the morning was over.

Yoghurt-covered cranberries from Forest Feast kept things sweet, while reusable coffee cups from Circular Co sat alongside Nudea's Organic Cotton Socks because the small choices matter.

The Collection

The Seersucker Collection is made for bed and beyond, for the in-between moments, the slow mornings, the days when comfort and beauty don't have to be separate things. Seeing it in a setting like this, worn by people who simply got on with enjoying their morning, felt exactly right.

Coming Together

This is our second event with Kelly, following a summer picnic last year, and it continues to feel like a natural friendship rather than a collaboration. We share a genuine passion for the planet and for making choices that reflect that in the brands we work with, the people we invite into our world and the way we try to show up. That shared value isn't a backdrop to what we do. It's the reason we do it.

We left the morning feeling grateful for the summer, the conversations and the quiet reminder of why moments like this one are worth making time for.
